Title: The Lazy Sons and the Wise King

Once upon a time, in a faraway land, there lived a wise king who had three sons. All of them were loved by their father, but he didn't know who should inherit the throne after his death.

The king thought hard about how to choose the right successor. He decided to test his sons' laziness because he believed that the laziest one would make the best king. So, on his deathbed, he called his sons to his side and said, "My dear children, I have a secret to reveal to you. The one among you who is the laziest will become the king after me."

The oldest son said, "Father, then the kingdom belongs to me, for I am so lazy that when I lie down to sleep, if a drop falls into my eye, I won't even close my eye so that I can fall asleep."

The middle son said, "Father, I am not as lazy as my elder brother. But when I sit by the fire to warm myself, even if the fire burns my toes, I won't move my legs because of my laziness."

The youngest son said, "Father, this kingdom is mine, for I am your laziest son. If I were about to be hanged and already had the rope around my neck, and someone put a sharp knife into my hand to cut the rope, I would let myself be hanged rather than lift my hand up to the rope."

The king listened to his sons' words and smiled. He knew that his youngest son was not truly lazy but rather resourceful. He declared the youngest son as the rightful heir to the throne. And so, the wise king passed away, leaving behind a kingdom in the capable hands of his youngest son.
