In urbanization, however, one thing should not be neglected---environmental protection. It is unscientific to judge a city’s modernization level by the number of high buildings. Recently, a new concept “environmental image” has come into being and become an important criterion with which to evaluate a city.

The concept stresses that a modern city must have efficient environmental promotion. It must have a proper proportion of green land, clean water and fresh air. To add more greenery to a city, I would like to make the following proposals:

1. We should popularize “vertical greenery” technique, that is, to plant more green-leaved plants like Boston ivy in densely-located buildings. The roof space of buildings should be used fully to plant flowers, fruits and grasses.

我是華強小學的一名小學生。

我從小就在南寧長大，南寧是怎么變化的，我都看到了。從一個不知名的城市變成了一個中國綠色城市，開展了民歌節(jié)，南博會……

現(xiàn)在在南寧，到處可以看到“環(huán)境保護，人人有責?！?等字樣。在馬路邊上，各種各樣的垃圾桶美麗極了。最近，大家都提倡把可回收和不可回收的垃圾桶分開。

可是，我覺得光有分類是不行的，要在垃圾桶上寫一些可回收一類的垃圾和不可回收的一類垃圾的種類，不是每個人都想我們一樣接受知識多，知道什么是可回收和不回收的垃圾是什么，想那些民工，他們不知道，就會亂丟一氣，這樣反而不好。不僅起不到環(huán)保和垃圾分類的作用，反而會給那些垃圾場的工作人員帶來工作的困擾。

此外，我還發(fā)現(xiàn)一個蠻嚴重的問題。

有一天，我和媽媽還有姥姥一起去坐公共汽車，想要去烈士陵園掃墓。開始我們是開開心心的出門啊，可是當我們去公共汽車車站等車的時候，發(fā)現(xiàn)旁邊有一個垃圾桶，里面的垃圾已經發(fā)臭了，路過的行人紛紛五著鼻子繞到走，我們走過的時候一會聞見一股很大的腐臭味。

后來，我在去過的地方，凡是有垃圾桶的，我就仔細觀察有沒有臭味。經過一段時間的觀察，我發(fā)現(xiàn)，現(xiàn)在的垃圾桶都是固定的，不像以前那種可以把垃圾倒出來，可是為什么會發(fā)臭呢？？后來我才知道，原來是因為垃圾桶是固定的，那些環(huán)衛(wèi)工人早晨清垃圾桶的時候，只是簡單的把表面的垃圾撿出來，并沒有清理到底部。
