As most people spend a major part of their adult life at work, job satisfaction is an important element of individual wellbeing. What factors contribute to job satisfaction? How realistic is the expectation of job satisfaction for all the workers?
Nowadays many adults have full-time jobs and the proportion of their lives spent doing such jobs is very high. So feeling about one' s job must reflect how an individual feels about his or her life as a whole, and because of this, job satisfaction is indeed very important for the wellbeing of that person.
Employees get job satisfaction in a number of ways. Firstly, a person needs to feel that they are doing valued and valuable work, so positive feedback from superiors is very important in this respect. A sense of fulfilment is also encouraged if a worker feels the job is worth doing because it contributes to the society or the economy as a whole. Secondly, when someone feels they are improving or developing their skills through training opportunities, for example, then there is a sense of progression and purpose that rewards a worker. The sense of belonging to a team or a working community also contributes to job satisfaction because colleagues help each other to enjoy their working lives. Satisfaction is also increased by the sense of responsibility for and loyalty to a team.
Of course not everybody enjoys their work. Hard economic realities mean that many people have little choice in the kind of job they can get. In some cases an employee is working in a job that suits neither their skills nor their personality. Some jobs are repetitive and boring, and labour relations may be poor and lead to resentment and insecurity rather than to job satisfaction.
However, even though it is unlikely that all workers do feel happy in their work, I think it is not unrealistic to promote more job satisfaction in any job.If the factors identified above are implemented, then any job improved and more workers can feel greater degrees of job satisfaction.

Job satisfaction refers to the degree of pleasure employees can feel when working. It is of broad interest to employers because of its potential impact on productivity and morale of employees. Of those factors that contribute to job satisfaction, some are intrinsic while others are extrinsic. Both will be introduced below. In the latter part of the essay is a discussion concerning whether one's expectations for job satisfaction are always appropriate.
Most of the factors that have influence on job satisfaction are extrinsic. One is employees, material needs. It is understandable that income, housing, paid holiday, bonus and other job benefits are the main elements an employee will normally look into when evaluating whether a job is desirable or not. Another source of satisfaction is job satisfaction, An employee is delighted if continued employment is accessible, that is, staying on a job for some considerable lime. Besides these basic needs, people crave for a positive self-image and to have their contribution valued and appreciated. That's why promotion is very often manipulated to improve employees' job satisfaction, sending a message to employees that their commitment has been recognized.
Along with extrinsic factors, intrinsic factors are important. Individual personality plays a large part in many cases. It is believed that the employees with a positive outlook on life and full of optimism are more likely to achieve higher job satisfaction irrespective of the job or workplace they are in. When optimism allows individuals to function well in the fact of adversity and prevents them from becoming depressed, pessimism makes them less likely to complete tasks and meet objectives successfully, thereby undermining job satisfaction.
Given the constantly changing nature of today's business environment, a job can hardly live up to the expectations of job holders. Weak economies, rapidly changing technology and likelihood of downsizing are combining to account for why the length of tenure is shortened nowadays and few people now expect to stay on the same job throughout their working lives. Rewards are able to raise motivation and increase satisfaction of employees, but not available for every individual that wants them. There is no guarantee that every good performer will be awarded all the time. Law of the jungle applies here: only the strongest competitors will win access to the majority of the resource.
As suggested above, job satisfaction is attributed to different factors, both extrinsic and intrinsic. The complexity of today's work environment has made it less likely for people to get whatever they desire from a job.

Some people argue that job satisfaction is more important than job security, while others believe that they cannot always expect job satisfaction and a permanent job is more important.
Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.
關(guān)鍵詞:job satisfaction,job security,a permanent job
這些表明會因工作滿意度離職的人員中,33%想要一個回饋度更高的工作(a more rewarding job), 22%認(rèn)為他們的努力工作沒有得到應(yīng)有的賞識 (they didn’t feel their hard work was appreciated), 還有18%認(rèn)為他們的工作對世界沒有影響力(they didn’t get a sense that the work they did actually having an impact on the world) …….
另外穩(wěn)定且終身的工作很容易讓人產(chǎn)生安逸感,除了自己工作范圍內(nèi)的職責(zé)不會太去探索新鮮的事物(holding down the same job for a long time does not develop the growth in one’s career prospect and even they are not aware of the new ideas, the latest technology of other organizations. )
即便如此,擁有一個長期性的工作對人們也是十分有益的( Having permanent jobs is very beneficial for people.)一個穩(wěn)定長期的工作可以帶給人們一種穩(wěn)定感,可以讓員工生活無憂(a permanent job makes a stable and carefree life as well as financial support to the employee.)
(Job satisfaction levels decrease when an employee feels threatened by a lack of job security. A worker is filled with feelings of discontent and uncertainty when his future at the company is uncertain, which leads to resentment.)
Some make the pragmatic argument(= practical reasons) that in an uncertain job market, security ought to(應(yīng)該被) be valued over satisfaction. In my opinion, those with families cannot be reproached(=questioned) for this view but it is generally more important to enjoy your job and spread goodwill.(= make other people happy)
3. 可以學(xué)習(xí)使用的句型:some make the pragmatic argument that… Some make the pragmatic argument that without installing the required infrastructure for broadband internet in rural areas, online education can hardly replace traditional schooling.
Workers with dependents(名詞:家屬- 有家屬的員工) rightly value a consistent paycheck(=steady employment,穩(wěn)定的工作,有穩(wěn)定持續(xù)收益的工作) and benefits over all other factors. (意思為:有家庭的員工一般都認(rèn)為工作能提供持續(xù)性收益最重要)觀點(diǎn) If someone is just starting out(=beginning) in a labour of love(something you have passion for – 一份自己喜愛的工作) such as becoming an artist, they may struggle initially to bring home enough money to make ends meet(earn just enough) every month. They might not be able to send their children to good schools, live in a good neighborhood, and keep everyone in the house reasonably well clothed and fed(確保每個人的溫飽). Even if they can manage that, it will place incredible mental stress(place incredible stress on = put a lot of pressure on- 給予巨大壓力) on not only them but also their spouse and children. Research has shown these deeply ingrained anxieties(心理壓力焦慮,心靈創(chuàng)傷=psychological trauma) from childhood can persist throughout adulthood.
It is nonetheless more important to pursue a job that is fulfilling. 觀點(diǎn)The vast majority of the world dislikes their job and a large percentage of these people have difficulty reconciling (=make consistent 調(diào)節(jié),應(yīng)對) their frustrations with their day-to-day temperament(就是daily mood-每天的心情的替換性說法). 解釋An unhappy employee is more likely to be short(注意這里不是短缺的意思,是rude, angry with的意思,指不開心的員工更容易和同事生氣,抱怨朋友等) with co-workers, complain to friends, and resent(動詞:怨恨,埋怨) their family for the burden they must shoulder for their welfare. More of this persons daily interactions will be negative and this adds up over years to create the greatest global repository of ill will (=stores up a lot of hostility 可以理解為”怨氣堆積”… 例子展開Free up(=allow for- 允許這些人釋放自己,做自己想做的工作) the same person to enjoy their job and there is a strong chance they will suddenly brighten the days of those around them.
Overall, fomenting good humour(= creating happy interactions) is more important and only in very rare family situations should an individual persist in a job for its stability. Many recognise this once it is too late and they already have an expensive lifestyle to maintain(costs a lot for rent, expenses,很多人有租金,房貸啊等等) or their best working years are behind them.
job satisfaction
Why It Is Difficult ron College Students to Find Jobs?(大學(xué)生求職為何難?)More and more college students, in recent years, are finding it difficult to find jobs. This may sound strange since college students used to be the "most favored" people in society. They have received a higher education, hence they are more intelligent, knowledgeable than their counterparts who failed to attend college. But chances are that some of them can hardly find jobs after graduating from colleges. There are o reasons that account for this strange phenomenon. One is that some college students cannot e to terms with themselves and with the world around them. They pursue too high goals and are too particular about such factors as working conditions, salary, and so on. Therefore, they are reluctant to accept the job when they are offered to them. Another reason is that the majors some students pursue do not match with the demands of the job market. As a result, they canonly sit and miss opportunities. To solve this problem, I think college students should know their own strengths and weaknesses and have the right attitude towards themselves and the job vacancies. In addition, they should not attach too much importance to material aspects of the job. They should put priority to their future development and their contributions to society in stead. Furthermore, they should think of receiving some further training to meet the demands of society.
Graduates’ pressure in finding jobs
Nowadays, more and more university graduates plain that graduation does not equate to employment. They experience great difficulties finding satisfactory jobs. What is the cause of this phenomenon
In my opinion, there are four causes:
First, graduates lack experience. They spend most of their time at school studying academic subjects and lack relevant job training. Only after graduation do they realize it’s hard to find jobs.
Second, petition among graduates grows more bitter and more bitter and bitter. The supply of university graduates exceeds social demand. This results in a decreased chance for any individual graduate to find a job.
Third, some students don’t study hard. Some of them skip classes just because they have no interest in certain subjects. Some play puter games or pursue other interests. Some sleep in class or in the library. Then they leave the sheltered environment of the university campus, to discover they don’t have adequate knowledge to apply for many positions, which makes them feel lost and frustrated.
Finally, some graduates are conceited. They lack experience but ask for a high salary, which is impractical.
So, university students should try their best to change this situation. When they are in school, they should make the most of their time and put their heart into their studies. They can hold part-time jobs in their spare time to accumulate relevant work experience. They should take part in some social activities and provide themselves with special training, if possible. When they graduate and apply for jobs, they should attach more importance to accumulating experience than to their starting salary.
On University Students’ Pressure in Finding Jobs
About a decade ago, university students could find satisfactory and enviable jobs after their graduation. But now, things are different. Today's university students usually have much pressure in finding fairly good jobs. They always say disappointedly that graduation means joblessness. Why nowadays university students have so much pressure in finding jobs?
In my opinion, this kind of pressure is mainly caused by three reasons. Firstly, the government is enrolling more and more university students year by year. And the growth of the students' number has surpassed that of the need of the society. So, when so many students graduate at a time, the chance of finding jobs bees tiny. Secondly, today's university students, most of them are the "only-child", who are more mentally frail. Since they are indulged greatly at home and haven't been trained to do things on their own, once it is their turn to go out of the campus and find jobs by themselves and decide what kind of jobs to choose, they feel bewildered and don't know what to do. If their first try fails, they will be frustrated and think that it is really hard to find jobs. Thirdly, some university students are not qualified for good and challenging jobs. After entering the university, they don't study as hard as they did in high schools. They begin to sleep during the class or even be absent for classes. Some are addicted to puter games or Jin Yong's novels, or step into the o-person-world too early. Because these things have taken up so much of their time and energy, their study is neglected. After four years of university life, they haven't gained the knowledge those fairly good jobs or certain positions require.

How to Solve the Employment Problem of College Students
As more and more students graduated from universities and colleges, youth employment is being a problem in our society. Nowadays, many young people are having a hard time finding jobs. They often faced the "No experience, no job - no job, no experience" dilemma.
To solve the problem of youth employment, I think the government should take some measures to help college students who are finding their jobs. The government should work with the employers and anizations, such as fund them to help those students obtain career information, develop skills, find good jobs and stay employed. In addition, the employers should provide opportunities for students to get their first work experiences and develop their skills and potentials. What's more, the employers should also provide assistance for those who face barriers to employment and help them to get and keep a job.
what about the reason?
The root cause of the employment problem, as in my opinion, is due to college enrollment expansion. The enrollment of college students increases rapidly annually. In recent years, more and more graduates find themselves in a very awkward situation that there is no sufficient jobs for them in the HR market. Some graduates have problem even getting professional training opportunities.

In recent years, college students find it increasingly difficult to get a job. It sounds strange since young college students are usually intelligent, well-educated phenomenon, aspirant and eager to bring their talent into full play. Then what underlies the strange phenomenon?
There are several reasons for this. To begin with, nowadays college students aim too high. All they want are “good” jobs which could offer good salary, fortable working conditions, high social status among others. Consequently, most college students are unwilling to accept vacant jobs they consider not “good” enough. Another reason is that there is a big gap beeen the majors some students study in school and the demands of vacant jobs. So panies think some students are not fit for the jobs.
Solution to the problem requires efforts on both the society and the students. The panies should value the students, talent and knowledge while the latter should not merely aim at material gains. They should be down-to–earth in building up their career. Furthermore, they should face their weak points so as to improve themselves and be more petent.

It's easy for some students to find work. But the fact is that some students think the salary is so low that they don't want to do the job, they except to find a easy work with a higher salary.
Like the reason above, some jobs have nobody to do it ,but somebody is free with no job.
As the job market gets shrinking, it has also bee a must for undergraduates (在校本科生)to work harder than before to keep their petitive edge (保持竟?fàn)幍匚?. More students are engaged in their studies with no distractions They are investing today for a promising (大有希望的,前途無量的) tomorrowAs far as I'm concerned, those students who want to find a higher salary but have no better job to do should be do a easy work from basic.Work hard on ,I believe through their hardwork they'll get a better job soon.
Being an Employee or Postgraduate after Graduation(工作還是考研)
As the day of graduation draws near, college students have to make decisions about their future life.Whether one wants to bee a postgraduate or look for a job largely depends on one's personal interests.
For those who are eager to bee economically independent and to put into practice what they have learned in college, taking a job will be both satisfying and rewarding. For years, they have been using their parents' money to support their education-and not without a sense of guilt. Moreover,at many times during their study, they must have been embarrassed by the lack of money or the guilty feeling of spengding their parents' money on “l(fā)uxuries”.Getting established as a bread-winner after graduation is their main desire.
Those, who want to take advantage of the favorable conditions in college, however, will try to enroll in graduate programs. For them,a Master's degree or even a Doctoral degree represents a much more ambitious goal than a bachelor's degree. In the same way, their lifetime success and interest lies more in academic achievements than in making money.
As far as I am concerned, getting a higher degree has long been my dream. This is based on my belief that I should do more research and learn more while I am still young.

satisfaction怎么用
I would say your score for this essay would be from 5.5 to 6.
To reach 6.5 , you need fewer grammatical errors.
the overall essay structure is very clear. Some band 7 words have been attempted in using.
As to the style of argumentation, I would say it is a bit journalisic.
It would be better in my view that if you could just talk about two points and expand on that in a more clear way This would demonstrate your reasoning skills and make your point more convincing.
